Strong winds to hit Baku and Absheron on October 19

The National Hydrometeorology Service has issued yellow and orange warnings for windy conditions expected on October 19.

"Operative Information Center-OMM" said northwesterly winds in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula will reach orange-warning levels, with speeds of 20.8-28.4 meters per second.

A yellow warning will be in effect in Gazakh, Tovuz, Ganja, Aghstafa, Dashkasan, Gadabay, Goygol, Goranboy, Naftalan, Khizi, Shabran, Siyazan, Khachmaz, Guba, Gusar, Gobustan, Hajigabul, Neftchala, Mingachevir, Bilasuvar, Jalilabad, Lerik and Yardimli.

Westerly winds in these areas will reach speeds of 13.9-20.7 meters per second.
