Strong winds forecast for Azerbaijan on October 2-3

Strong winds are expected in Baku, the Absheron Peninsula and several regions of Azerbaijan on October 2-3.

“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the National Hydrometeorological Service has issued yellow and orange warnings for the expected windy conditions.

Under the orange warning, northwesterly winds are forecast in Baku, the Absheron Peninsula, Neftchala and Gobustan, with speeds reaching 20.8-28.4 m/s.

Under the yellow warning, northwesterly winds are expected in Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz, Shabran, Siyazan, Khizi, Ismayilli, Gabala, Hajigabul, Salyan, Lankaran, Astara, Jalilabad, Bilasuvar, Kalbajar, Lachin, Julfa, Mingachevir, Sabirabad, Shirvan, Dashkasan, Gadabay, Naftalan and Goranboy, with speeds of 13.9-20.7 m/s.
