Strong winds are expected to sweep across Baku, the Absheron Peninsula, and various regions of Azerbaijan on February 10.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the National Hydrometeorological Service has issued yellow and orange weather warnings in anticipation of the changing weather conditions.
According to the service, an orange warning has been issued for Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, as well as the districts of Neftchala, Khizi, Gusar, Aghstafa, Tovuz, Naftalan, Goranboy, Kalbajar, and Dashkasan. In these areas, north-westerly winds are expected to intensify, reaching speeds of 20.8 to 28.4 meters per second. In other regions of Azerbaijan, a yellow warning is in effect, with north-westerly wind speeds projected to range between 13.9 and 20.7 meters per second.
The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan regularly monitors atmospheric conditions to provide timely alerts regarding extreme weather patterns.
