Three prominent figures in Azerbaijan have been awarded the State Prize for their outstanding achievements in the fields of science and culture. Operative Information Center-OMM reports that President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to this effect.
According to the decree, the 2026 State Prizes of Azerbaijan in the fields of science and culture were awarded to the following individuals:
In the field of science:
- Asaf Hajiyev – for his book "Multidimensional regression analysis and artificial intelligence"
- Tarix Dostiyev – for his fundamental scientific results based on archaeological excavations conducted in the medieval city sites of Ganja and Shamkir
In the field of culture:
- Eldar Mikayilzade – for his "Azerbaijani carpet – dance of loops" and "Khamsa" series, as well as the "Heavenly Religions" triptych.
The State Prize of the Republic of Azerbaijan is one of the nation's highest honors, recognizing exceptional contributions to the advancement of science, literature, and the arts.
