Chair of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) Sahiba Gafarova has arrived in Serbia for an official visit. The delegation led by the speaker aims to participate in the High-Level Commemorative Meeting dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the first conference of the Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), Operative Information Center-OMM reports.
Upon arrival at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, the speaker was welcomed by Jagoda Lazarevic, Serbia's Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade and Commissioner General for EXPO-2027, along with Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Serbia Tahir Tagizade and other officials.
This visit underscores the strengthening diplomatic ties between Baku and Belgrade, which have deepened significantly in recent years through strategic partnerships. The Non-Aligned Movement, which Azerbaijan chaired from 2019 to 2023, remains a cornerstone of the country's multilateral diplomacy, focusing on promoting international cooperation and sovereign equality among member states.
