Azerbaijani para-taekwondo athlete Sabir Zeynalov is targeting gold medals at his next two major competitions. He won silver in the 58-kilogram category at the Grand Prix in Paris.
Zeynalov said his upcoming events will be the world championships and another Grand Prix. He said he would work to avoid repeating the mistakes he made in Paris.
“My main goal is to win gold at both tournaments. I also came to France aiming for gold, but had to settle for silver. I wanted to finish first, but unfortunately it did not work out,” Zeynalov said. He praised the high standard of the Paris event and noted that the Grand Prix series is challenging.
