The UEFA Champions League, the premier club football competition in Europe, recently underwent a format change to a "league phase" system, replacing the traditional group stage. This shift aims to increase the number of high-profile matches between top-tier clubs, providing teams like "Sabah" with significant exposure on the international stage while testing their competitive depth against established European powerhouses.
