Rusiya Çinin ABŞ sanksiyalarını rədd etməsini dəstəklədi

Russia has expressed its support for China's decision to neither recognize nor implement sanctions imposed by the United States.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova made these remarks during a briefing. According to Zakharova, the Chinese government's move is aimed at preventing the application of illegal sanctions and is considered fully justified by Moscow.

The statement follows a recent move by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, which prohibited the domestic recognition and enforcement of US sanctions against five Chinese petrochemical companies. These firms had been targeted by Washington over allegations related to oil trade with Iran. The Russian official emphasized that this decision represents a significant step in the protection of international law and sovereign trade rights.

The development comes amid a period of heightened geopolitical tension where both Moscow and Beijing have increasingly sought to bypass Western-led financial restrictions. By strengthening their strategic partnership, the two nations aim to establish alternative trade mechanisms that operate independently of the US dollar and unilateral sanctions regimes. This alignment reflects a broader trend of Eurasian powers challenging the extraterritorial application of US law in global commerce.
