The 25th round of the Misli Premier League in Azerbaijan begins today with two scheduled matches. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the opening day of the round features competitive fixtures that could significantly impact the middle and lower sections of the league table.
The first match of the day will see Sumgait visit Kapaz at the Yevlax City Stadium, with the kickoff scheduled for 16:00. Currently, the representative of the "City of Youth," Sumgait, occupies the seventh position in the standings with 38 points. Their opponents, the Ganja-based club Kapaz, are currently in tenth place with 21 points. Later, at 18:30, Araz-Naxchivan and Imishli will face off at the SOCAR Polymer Arena in Sumgait. The Nakhchivan representative currently holds the sixth spot with 40 points, while the visiting team sits in ninth place with 29 points.
The Misli Premier League serves as the top-tier professional football competition in Azerbaijan, featuring the nation's most prominent clubs such as Garabagh and Neftchi.
