Azerbaijan’s National Hydrometeorological Service has warned of possible flooding in rivers in the Greater and Lesser Caucasus, as well as heavy rain and hail on Oct. 20.
Intermittent rain is expected on Oct. 20, mainly in Azerbaijan’s mountainous and foothill regions.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the National Hydrometeorological Service issued the forecast.
Brief but intense downpours, thunderstorms and hail are possible in some areas.
Rainfall may raise water levels in rivers, with short-term flooding possible in some rivers in the Greater and Lesser Caucasus.
