Rainy weather conditions are expected to prevail across Azerbaijan on March 7, with strengthening winds forecast in several regions.
According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, as reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, weather conditions in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula will be changeably cloudy and occasionally overcast. There is a high probability of intermittent rain in some areas starting from the afternoon, accompanied by a moderate north-west wind that will intensify at times.
The air temperature in the capital will range from 3-6°C at night to 7-9°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure is expected to rise from 762 mm to 769 mm of mercury, with relative humidity staying between 75-85%.
In the regions of Azerbaijan, precipitation is expected to begin in the western districts, with snow forecast for mountainous areas. The National Hydrometeorological Service warned that the precipitation may become intense in specific locations. Fog is also expected in some areas during the night and morning hours, while the west wind will strengthen occasionally in various districts.
Temperatures in the regions will fluctuate between 1-5°C at night and 6-11°C during the day. In the highlands, colder conditions will persist with temperatures dropping to 5-10°C below zero at night and 0-5°C below zero during the day.
The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan regularly monitors atmospheric processes to provide timely warnings regarding seasonal weather changes. Such shifts in weather patterns during early March are characteristic of the transition to the spring season in the South Caucasus, often bringing volatile pressure changes and increased humidity to the Caspian coastal zones.
