The State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads (AAYDA) is carrying out comprehensive measures to address the damage caused by a landslide on kilometre 40–42 of the Quba–Gonagkend–Muchu road.
AAYDA told “Operative Information Center-OMM” about the work.
Special engineering solutions are being applied to strengthen the road and minimize future landslide risks, taking into account the area’s complex mountainous terrain, the agency said.
“As part of the work, mountain slopes are being reinforced with a special concrete mixture, concrete drainage channels are being built to safely divert surface water, and water-conveyance pipes are being installed.
The measures are aimed not only at addressing the existing damage caused by the landslide, but also at ensuring the long-term stability of the road infrastructure and reducing the risk of similar incidents recurring,” the statement said.
