Qazbot Technologies will showcase a range of robotic systems at the AI & Digital Bridge 2026 forum, which will be held in Astana from Oct. 1 to 3.
The forum will feature robots capable of interacting with people, moving independently in their surroundings, supporting manufacturing and logistics operations, and providing services at large facilities.
Humanoid robot production in Kazakhstan
According to the company, construction of Kazakhstan’s first humanoid robot manufacturing facility began in Astana in August 2026.
The production and technology complex will cover 15,000 square meters and is expected to create more than 150 jobs. The facility will bring together localized production, engineering solutions, a research and development center, software and artificial intelligence technologies.
The complex will also house the Qaz Data Factory infrastructure, which will collect, prepare and process data used to train robotic systems.
Initial investment in the project is expected to total approximately $200 million, while annual production capacity could reach 5,000 robotic systems. The company also plans to train engineers and specialists for Kazakhstan’s robotics and artificial intelligence sectors.
Partnership with AGIBOT
Vice President Xiong Jilin of AGIBOT PTE. LTD., Qazbot Technologies’ strategic technology partner, will also attend the forum.
According to Qazbot Technologies, AGIBOT currently accounts for approximately 47% of global humanoid robot supplies. Its technologies are used in human-robot interaction, manufacturing and logistics.
Qazbot Technologies Chief Executive Officer Vladislav Safarov said the company’s strategy was not limited to importing ready-made technologies.
“The main issue for us is not simply to bring ready-made technologies to Kazakhstan, but to create local expertise and a complete technological cycle here,” Safarov said.
He said the company was expanding its engineering team, developing software and artificial intelligence, localizing production and building infrastructure for future growth. The next goal is to develop its own solutions and enter international markets.
Which robots will be presented at the forum?
Qazbot Technologies will present the A2 and A2 Ultra models. The full-size humanoid robots can recognize faces and voices, identify the source of a sound, hold conversations, respond to commands and direct visitors. The A2 Ultra can move independently over long distances.
The X2 and X2 Ultra are more compact humanoid models. They have human-like gaits and high maneuverability, recognize faces and gestures, communicate with people, dance and perform complex synchronized movements. The X2 Ultra plans routes independently, avoids obstacles and returns to a charging station on its own.
The G2 industrial robotic platform is designed to grasp and transport objects and perform precision manipulation and sorting operations. The system can be used at manufacturing facilities, warehouses and logistics sites.
The C5 is an autonomous professional cleaning robot designed for large indoor spaces. It identifies work areas, plans routes, avoids obstacles and performs dry and wet cleaning. When connected to a dedicated service station, the robot can automatically recharge and carry out maintenance procedures.
The D1 quadruped robot is designed to operate on uneven terrain and in areas inaccessible to wheeled platforms. Potential applications include industrial inspections, facility monitoring and operations in challenging environments.
“Embodied artificial intelligence”
The technologies to be demonstrated at the forum reflect the development of “embodied artificial intelligence,” which combines artificial intelligence with physical machines capable of perceiving the real world, making decisions and taking action.
The AI & Digital Bridge 2026 event will be held at the EXPO International Exhibition Centre in Astana. The forum is dedicated to the theme “Kazakhstan is the artificial intelligence hub of Eurasia” and is being organized as part of Kazakhstan’s Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence.
A special program for government officials, international delegations and technology industry leaders will take place on Oct. 1. Access on the first day will be available by invitation only. The forum will be open to ticket holders on Oct. 2 and 3.
