Qarabag will face Neftchi today in the eighth round of the Misli Premier League.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the Azerbaijani derby will be played at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium.
The Aghdam side, which has played one fewer match than its rival, is one of only two teams — alongside Sabah — yet to lose this season.
League leaders Neftchi will look to extend their successful run. The Black-and-Whites last suffered a defeat five rounds ago.
The round’s key match will kick off at 7 p.m.
In the day’s first match, Gabala will take on Sabah. The reigning champions, who beat Czech side Slavia four days ago in the main stage of the Champions League, will now try to overcome the regional team’s resistance.
Gabala, with just one win this season, will be hoping to spring a surprise. The match at Gabala City Stadium will start at 4 p.m.
Neftchi lead the standings with 16 points. Sabah and Qarabag have the same number of points and are second and third, respectively. Gabala are 10th with four points.
