President Ilham Aliyev visited Quzeyxırman village in the Khojavend district on July 11.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the head of state was briefed on the progress of restoration works in both Quzeyxırman and Güneyxırman villages, including the reconstruction of individual houses and essential infrastructure.

During the visit, President Ilham Aliyev met with residents who have recently returned to their homes. Emin Huseynov, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts, provided detailed information on the ongoing social infrastructure projects.

Both villages, which were occupied by Armenian armed forces in 1992, were liberated following the anti-terror operations conducted by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in 2023. Prior to the occupation, the villages were known for their agricultural activities, including viticulture and livestock farming. The government is currently implementing comprehensive restoration plans, which include the installation of new gas lines, water supply networks, and fiber-optic communication systems.

In Quzeyxırman, 244 houses are currently undergoing renovation, with 100 already completed and ready for occupancy. Similar efforts are underway in Güneyxırman, where 50 houses are ready for use. The "Great Return" program continues to be a top priority for the government, ensuring that former internally displaced persons can return to their ancestral lands in Garabagh with modern living standards.

During the visit, President Ilham Aliyev engaged with local residents, emphasizing the government's commitment to the development of the liberated territories and the well-being of the returnees as they settle into their newly restored homes.
