President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It is with great pleasure that I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to you and, through you, to the brotherly people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the significant anniversary—the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Since gaining its independence, brotherly Uzbekistan has traveled a path of comprehensive and dynamic development, achieving great success and earning high prestige and respect in the international arena and the region. Thanks to your wise leadership and strategic vision, large-scale reforms and construction works have been successfully implemented in all areas of your country, economic progress has been achieved, and the social well-being of the population has been ensured.
The foundation of all the achievements and goals reached by Uzbekistan lies in your tireless work and the great trust and support of your people for the state policy you are resolutely pursuing. As a brotherly country and ally, we consider every success of Uzbekistan as our own and take pride in it. Every time I visit your unique and hospitable country, I witness the significant achievements Uzbekistan has attained. I recall with the fondest memories my recent state visit to your brotherly country and our meeting.
Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan relations, built on common historical and cultural ties, unshakable friendship, and brotherhood, are currently at their peak. The further development and deepening of our bilateral relations with Uzbekistan remain a priority for us. I am pleased that, as a result of our joint efforts, our interstate relations and alliance are strengthening day by day, and our multifaceted cooperation is being enriched with new practical content.
