President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree officially approving the new charter for the Center for Analysis of International Relations and Multiculturalism. This move marks a significant update to the institutional framework governing the center's operations and strategic objectives.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the decree outlines the center's expanded mandate. The organization is tasked with conducting in-depth research on issues of strategic importance to Azerbaijan, analyzing foreign policy priorities, and evaluating regional and global political, social, legal, and economic developments. Furthermore, the center is expected to provide scientific-analytical forecasts and policy recommendations to support the country's diplomatic efforts and international engagements.
The Center for Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) serves as a vital think tank for the Republic of Azerbaijan, playing a crucial role in shaping the nation's foreign policy discourse. By facilitating academic research and promoting the country's position on global platforms, the center bridges the gap between scholarly analysis and practical diplomacy. Under the new charter, the center's management board will consist of three members—a chairman and two deputies—appointed by the President. With a charter capital of 4.21 million manats, the center is also authorized to engage in entrepreneurial activities to support its goals, with annual performance reports to be submitted directly to the President of Azerbaijan.
