Armenia is actively collaborating with Azerbaijan and Turkey to implement regional projects in the fields of communication and trade, according to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
As reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, Pashinyan made these remarks during a high-level meeting held in the "SCO Plus" format. He emphasized that Armenia has concluded that no state can remain truly sovereign and independent while in a state of conflict with its neighbors.
Pashinyan noted that peace has been established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, a process significantly bolstered by the historic meeting held in Washington in August 2025, which was attended by US President Donald Trump.
"We are currently working with Turkey and Azerbaijan on the implementation of regional projects in the spheres of communication and trade. These projects, which are expected to be realized in the near future, will create additional potential for connecting the Caspian basin with the Persian Gulf and will bring benefits to all countries in the region," the Prime Minister stated. Pashinyan further added that Armenia supports the principles of multipolarity in international relations.
The normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan is a critical development for the South Caucasus region. Following the 2020 Patriotic War and the subsequent restoration of Azerbaijan's sovereignty over its territories, including the Garabagh region, the focus has shifted toward regional integration. The opening of transport corridors, such as the Zangezur corridor, remains a central topic in these ongoing diplomatic efforts to ensure long-term stability and economic prosperity in the region.
