At least 52 people have been killed and 66 others injured following air strikes conducted by Pakistan on Afghan territory, according to official reports from Kabul.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Hamdullah Fitrat, the deputy spokesperson for the Afghan government, confirmed the casualties resulting from the military operation.

According to official data, the air strikes, which began last Sunday, targeted various regions within Afghanistan. Among the 52 deceased and 66 injured, a significant number are reported to be civilians. While the situation in the affected regions remains tense, the Pakistani side has not yet issued an official statement regarding the strikes or the specific targets of the operation.

The border regions between Afghanistan and Pakistan have long been a flashpoint for security tensions, often involving cross-border skirmishes and accusations regarding the movement of militant groups. These latest strikes represent a significant escalation in regional friction, as both nations grapple with complex security challenges along the Durand Line. International observers note that such incidents frequently complicate diplomatic efforts to stabilize the region and ensure long-term peace between the neighboring states.
