The tariffs approved by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan for the Interbank Card Center (ICC) are commissions charged only to participants in the infrastructure, namely banks and payment institutions.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Central Bank of Azerbaijan made the statement.
“The commissions will be charged directly to participating institutions for transactions processed through the ICC system and do not apply directly to end users (citizens),” the statement said.
The Central Bank’s Management Board approved new service fees for payment systems in a decision dated September 15, 2026.
Interbank card infrastructure enables participating institutions to process transactions between cards. The fees described in the announcement are levied on those institutions; any charges to customers are separate from the tariffs and are not specified in the statement.
