The State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads has completed the construction of a new bridge on the Lokbatan-Guzdak highway.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the single-span bridge was built at the 2.2-kilometer mark of the road, replacing a drainage structure that had been damaged by floodwaters.
The project has successfully restored full traffic connectivity and enhanced road safety for commuters in the area. The restoration works were carried out in accordance with the relevant decree of the President of Azerbaijan.
The Lokbatan-Guzdak road serves as a vital transport artery in the Absheron district, connecting key residential and industrial zones. Infrastructure improvements in this region are part of a broader national strategy to modernize Azerbaijan's road network, reduce traffic congestion, and ensure the long-term sustainability of transport links between the capital, Baku, and surrounding settlements.
