New Baku bus route to launch on October 18, fare set at 80 qepik

A new regular bus route, No. 218, will begin operating on October 18 from the Ahmadli metro station to Turkan settlement, the Turkan Gardens area and the “Poultry Farm” residential area in Hovsan, in response to residents’ public transport needs.

The Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) said the route will use vehicles equipped with environmentally friendly CNG technology, Operative Information Center-OMM reports.

Buses will serve passengers from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., with intervals of 12 to 15 minutes.

Fares on the route will be paid cashlessly and set at 0.80 AZN (80 qepik).
