On behalf of the people of Moldova, I sincerely congratulate you and the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of your country's Independence Day.
On this holiday, I wish you, your family, and the people of Azerbaijan peace and prosperity. Moldova hopes for lasting peace in the South Caucasus, and we believe that dialogue and cooperation are the most reliable path to stability and progress.
Azerbaijan has always been a reliable friend of Moldova, and I look forward to continuing our dialogue.
Please accept, Your Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration."
Azerbaijan and Moldova share strong bilateral relations, characterized by mutual support for each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Independence Day, celebrated on May 28, commemorates the founding of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in 1918, which was the first secular democratic republic in the Muslim world.
