Air defense systems in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have successfully intercepted a missile targeting the KEZAD special economic zone, officials confirmed.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Abu Dhabi government's press service released an official statement regarding the incident. "The Abu Dhabi government immediately responded to the incident in the Khalifa Economic Zone (KEZAD) area after the missile was successfully intercepted by air defense systems. As a result, only minor damage was caused to the area, and no injuries were reported," the statement said.

The Khalifa Economic Zone Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) is one of the largest industrial and commercial hubs in the region, playing a critical role in the UAE's non-oil economic strategy. This incident underscores the strategic importance of the UAE's advanced integrated air defense network, which has been consistently upgraded to protect vital infrastructure and civilian populations from regional security threats. The UAE remains a key global logistics center, maintaining high-security standards for its international trade zones.
