Signing a peace agreement with Azerbaijan soon is a political commitment of the Armenian government.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports, citing Armenian media, that Ararat Mirzoyan, the country’s foreign affairs and international trade minister, made the statement at a government meeting.
“Signing the peace agreement soon is our government’s political commitment, and we want the document to be signed as quickly as possible. It is entirely clear that infrastructure serves not only an economic function but also a peacebuilding role,” he said.
Mirzoyan noted that he had also observed strong interest in the peace agreement during discussions in parliament the previous day.
