The next plenary session of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) spring session has commenced its work in Baku.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the meeting's agenda includes the ratification of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime and a newly developed draft law "On the Rights of the Child." A total of 12 issues have been submitted for discussion during the session.

The meeting is chaired by the Speaker of the Parliament, Sahiba Gafarova. Other items on the agenda include legislative amendments aimed at aligning national frameworks with international standards and improving social welfare protections in Azerbaijan.

The Milli Majlis serves as the unicameral legislative branch of the government in the Republic of Azerbaijan. It is responsible for enacting laws, approving the state budget, and ratifying international treaties. The current discussions regarding the UN cybercrime convention reflect Azerbaijan's ongoing commitment to strengthening digital security and international legal cooperation in the face of evolving global technological threats.
