Riga FC Women, featuring Azerbaijan women’s national team player Milana Rahimova, have won the Latvian Cup. The Riga side defeated RFS Women 3-0 in the final.
The match was played at LNK Sporta Parks in Riga, with neither team scoring in the first half. Riga turned its advantage into goals after the break: Shiori Kato opened the scoring in the 51st minute, and Karen Boliva converted a penalty in the 56th. A goal in the 75th minute set the final score.
Riga FC Women have now won the Latvian Cup for the second consecutive year. Rahimova also helped her team reach the final.
The Azerbaijani player scored in the 13th minute of the semifinal against Metta on September 19. Riga won that match 3-0.
