A 47-year-old resident of the Sabirabad district, Taryel Gasimov, has been detained on suspicion of cultivating illegal narcotic plants.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that law enforcement officers conducted an operation resulting in the discovery of 55 cannabis plants in the suspect's backyard. The plants were reportedly being cultivated with specialized care.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. By court decision, the suspect has been placed under pre-trial detention as the investigation continues.
