Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation today with Ayman Al-Safadi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in a statement to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the ministers discussed the current military-political situation and the escalating tensions in the Middle East region.
The sides noted that further deterioration of the regional security environment is unacceptable and emphasized the importance of resolving existing disagreements through dialogue and diplomatic means, in accordance with the norms and principles of international law. The ministers stated that ensuring the safety of the civilian population and preventing the worsening of the humanitarian situation are of priority importance, highlighting the necessity of strengthening international efforts to establish stability and security in the region. During the telephone conversation, the parties also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
Azerbaijan and Jordan maintain strong diplomatic ties characterized by mutual respect and cooperation within international organizations, including the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Azerbaijan has consistently advocated for a peaceful resolution to Middle Eastern conflicts and has provided humanitarian aid to support regional stability. This high-level communication reflects Baku's active engagement in global diplomatic efforts to mitigate regional crises and promote international peace.
