Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner has ended his 2026 season early because of an injury. In a video posted on his social media accounts, he said that, after consulting with doctors, they had decided to set aside time to treat his knee.
“This means my 2026 season is officially over,” Sinner said. The five-time Grand Slam champion said he had made the decision with his long-term career in mind.
Sinner has not played an official match since winning Wimbledon last July because of his injury. He also said he would do everything he could to make a full recovery.
No further details have been released about the 25-year-old tennis player’s treatment.
