The Israeli Air Force has conducted a series of airstrikes targeting several areas in southern Lebanon, resulting in civilian casualties.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA), that Israeli aircraft targeted the settlements of Srifa, Ayta ash-Shaab, Tulin, as-Sawwana, and Majdal Salem overnight. Additionally, Israeli forces shelled the town of Douris located in eastern Lebanon.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, an airstrike on a residential building in the settlement of Labaya in the Western Beqaa region killed two civilians and injured three others. Furthermore, four people, including two children, were reported killed in the Mashghara settlement. While the NNA did not initially provide full details on the scale of destruction, local sources indicate significant damage to infrastructure.

In response, Hezbollah issued a statement via Telegram claiming its members attacked Israeli forces within Lebanon. The movement also reported launching strikes against the Yoav military camp in the Golan Heights and a naval base at the Haifa port. This escalation follows a previous warning from Hezbollah urging residents in northern Israel near the disputed border to evacuate the area.

The ongoing military confrontation between Israel and Hezbollah has intensified significantly in recent months, raising international concerns over a broader regional conflict. This escalation is part of a long-standing border tension that has displaced tens of thousands of civilians on both sides of the Blue Line, the UN-recognized withdrawal line between Lebanon and Israel. International mediators continue to call for a diplomatic resolution to prevent further destabilization in the Middle East.
