Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola has assessed his side’s 6-3 victory over LASK in the second round of the league phase of the 2026/2027 UEFA Champions League.
In comments quoted by UEFA’s website, Iraola said he was pleased with his team’s performance. He said Liverpool had played aggressively in possession, moved the ball well and made effective use of space in attack.
Despite conceding three goals, Iraola said he believed the team had performed well overall in defense. He praised Barcola not only for the chances that led to goals, but also for his one-on-one battles and runs into open space.
The head coach said he had also seen Barcola in good form in training and that the player had demonstrated his ability in the match against LASK.
