Iran will undoubtedly strike Israel if the United States launches an attack on Tehran, as the two nations are considered a single entity, a senior Iranian official has warned.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that these remarks were made by Ali Shamkhani, advisor to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, regarding the escalating tensions in the region.
"As facts prove, Israel and the US are not two separate entities, but one. The assumption that America would strike without Israel's involvement is a fundamental mistake. If the US strikes, Israel will definitely intervene, and the response must be proportionate," Shamkhani noted.
He further added that the scale of the retaliation would depend on the nature of the actions taken against Iran, stating, "We will respond and we will deliver a retaliatory strike."
The statement comes amid a period of heightened geopolitical friction in the Middle East, where the risk of direct military confrontation has drawn international concern. Under the administration of US President Donald Trump, Washington has maintained a policy of maximum pressure and strategic deterrence regarding Tehran's regional activities. This latest warning from the Iranian leadership underscores the complex security architecture of the region, where any military action by the United States is frequently linked to the security and strategic interests of Israel.
