The Iranian Red Crescent Society has announced that at least 555 people were killed today following military strikes by the United States and Israel across the country.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing foreign media outlets, that the operations targeted approximately 131 different regions within Iran.
The Iranian Red Crescent Society stated that it is continuing its humanitarian missions without interruption despite the scale of the attacks. The organization further noted that its extensive network of approximately four million volunteers is mobilized and ready to provide humanitarian aid, emergency relief, and psychological support to the affected population.
The current escalation follows a period of heightened regional tensions involving US President Donald Trump's administration and its Middle Eastern allies. The Iranian Red Crescent, part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, serves as the primary disaster response agency in the country, managing large-scale relief operations during both natural disasters and armed conflicts.
