Discussions held within the framework of the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) have concluded with two major final documents, President Ilham Aliyev announced.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, this was stated in a post on the official X account of President Ilham Aliyev.
"With a record number of approximately 60,000 participants, WUF13 made history as the largest World Urban Forum ever held. The Leaders Segment, held for the first time at Azerbaijan's initiative, gave a greater political impetus to the global urban agenda. The rich and comprehensive discussions conducted within WUF13 resulted in two important final documents - the Chair's Summary and the Baku Call to Action," the publication said.
The World Urban Forum, convened by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), is the premier global conference on sustainable urbanization. Azerbaijan's active role in hosting and driving initiatives within the forum highlights the country's ongoing commitment to sustainable development, modern urban planning, and international cooperation in addressing global housing and environmental challenges.
