İlham Əliyev: Cənubi Qafqaz sülh və əməkdaşlıq məkanına çevrilir

A fundamentally new situation is emerging in the South Caucasus today, and the countries located in the region must not miss these opportunities. This is particularly significant as peace, security, and stability are unfortunately being disrupted in various parts of the world, resulting in bloody conflicts, wars, suffering, and losses.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that these views were expressed by President Ilham Aliyev during a joint press statement with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze.

"A similar situation once existed in the South Caucasus as well. However, today the South Caucasus is already transforming into a space of peace, tranquility, security, and cooperation," the head of state added, emphasizing the strategic importance of regional dialogue.

The meeting between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Georgia highlights the growing partnership between the two neighboring nations, which serves as the backbone of regional energy and transport projects. Following the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, Baku has repeatedly called for a new era of trilateral cooperation in the South Caucasus to ensure long-term prosperity and economic integration. This diplomatic engagement is seen as a vital step toward finalizing a sustainable peace framework in the region.
