Muslim Council of Elders Secretary-General Mohamed Abdelsalam presented the certificate of the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity to President Ilham Aliyev.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that during the meeting, it was recalled that the President of Azerbaijan was awarded the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity earlier this year.
The award recognizes individuals and organizations that contribute to promoting human fraternity, mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence. It was established in 2019 in honor of the document on human fraternity signed in Abu Dhabi by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmed Al-Tayeb.
