The existence of new hotspots of tension and long-term conflicts worldwide poses a significant threat to the international security system and international law.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that President Ilham Aliyev made these remarks during his speech at the XIII Global Baku Forum held in Baku.

"When the norms of international law are not observed, when the territorial integrity of states is violated, and when the decisions of international organizations are ignored, it shakes the very foundations of the international order," Ilham Aliyev stated.

The President noted that as a country that has navigated various crises and complex geopolitical processes, Azerbaijan's experience could be highly beneficial for the international community.

"A country that has experienced occupation, ethnic cleansing, and genocide, restored its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and dignity by force, and subsequently offered peace to the defeated enemy—this is a unique experience that we can share with the international community," the head of state added.

The Global Baku Forum, organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, has become a premier platform for world leaders, Nobel laureates, and prominent diplomats to discuss pressing global challenges. Since its inception, the forum has focused on fostering dialogue between East and West, addressing issues ranging from climate change and global health to regional security and the preservation of international law. This year's event continues the tradition of positioning Azerbaijan as a central hub for multiculturalism and diplomatic mediation in the South Caucasus region.
