President Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of condolence to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan following a deadly armed attack on a school in Kahramanmaras.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the letter expressed profound grief over the loss of life, particularly among children, during the violent incident.
"Dear Mr. President, My Dear Brother, we were deeply shaken and saddened by the news of the death and injury of many people, mostly children, as a result of an armed attack on a school in Kahramanmaras. We are extremely outraged by this terrible event and strongly condemn this act of cruelty against children," the letter stated. President Ilham Aliyev shared the pain of the Turkish people, offering his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured on behalf of himself and the people of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan and Turkey maintain a unique "one nation, two states" relationship, characterized by immediate mutual support during times of national tragedy.
