President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the letter says:
“Dear Serdar Gurbangulyyevich,
On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence, I convey my most sincere congratulations and best wishes to you and your entire people on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan.
Over the past period, Turkmenistan has made significant progress, achieved notable success in strengthening its independence and ensuring socioeconomic development, and gained a high reputation internationally. Azerbaijan sincerely rejoices in the achievements of its brotherly country and has always supported Turkmenistan’s policy of permanent neutrality, which has gained broad international recognition.
We are pleased with the current level of relations between our peoples, who are closely connected by historical roots, common national and spiritual values, and bonds of good-neighborliness.
The existence of mutual understanding at the highest level creates favorable conditions for deepening our cooperation in various fields, particularly trade and the economy, energy, transport and logistics, culture and humanitarian affairs, and other areas. In this regard, I highly value your state visit to Azerbaijan in June and note that the talks we held, the documents signed and the agreements reached during the visit were of particular importance for strengthening Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan relations of friendship and brotherhood.
I believe that Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan friendship and cooperation will continue to develop dynamically through our joint efforts, and that our strategic partnership will serve the interests of our peoples.
