Unsettled weather conditions persist across various regions of Azerbaijan, characterized by intermittent lightning and heavy downpours in several areas.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the National Hydrometeorological Service released an update on the weather situation as of 11:00 on June 12.

Precipitation levels were recorded across multiple districts, with the highest amounts observed in Kishchay (Sheki) at 27 mm and Shahdag at 20 mm. Other notable measurements include 14 mm in Dashkasan, 13 mm in Saribash (Gakh), 10 mm in Goygol and Gadabay, 8 mm in Oghuz, 7 mm in Khaltan, 6 mm in Ganja, and 5 mm in Zardab, Gabala, Tovuz, and Aghstafa. Rainfall of up to 4 mm was reported in Shamakhi and Naftalan, while Barda received 3 mm. Minimal precipitation, up to 2 mm, was recorded in Goranboy, Yevlax, Goychay, Kurdamir, Aghdam, and Zagatala, with trace amounts of up to 1 mm observed in Shamkir, Balakan, Gobustan, Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz, Khinalig, Khizi, Ismayilli, Tartar, Mingachevir, and Sabirabad.

The National Hydrometeorological Service continues to monitor the situation closely, particularly regarding the risk of flash floods in mountainous and foothill areas. Such weather patterns are common in Azerbaijan during the spring and early summer months, often resulting from atmospheric instability. Authorities advise residents in affected areas to exercise caution and follow safety guidelines issued by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
