Rain is expected mainly in mountainous and foothill areas on October 21, and intermittently in some areas on October 22-23.
The National Hydrometeorology Service provided the information to “Operative Information Center-OMM”.
It said brief, intense downpours, thunderstorms and hail are possible in some areas, while snow may fall in high mountain areas. Precipitation may intensify in some places on October 22.
Rain is expected to raise water levels in rivers, with short-term flooding and flash floods possible in some rivers in the Greater Caucasus and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
