Azerbaijan's Garabagh FC has been fined 700 manats following a decision by the AFFA Disciplinary Committee.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the sanction was imposed due to disciplinary infractions during the club's recent outing in the national championship. According to the committee's findings, four players from the Aghdam representative received yellow cards during their match against Shamakhi in the XXVII round of the Misli Premier League. The match in question ended in a goalless draw.
Garabagh FC, based in Baku since the occupation of Aghdam in the early 1990s, is Azerbaijan's most successful football club and a regular participant in European competitions. The Misli Premier League is the top professional division in Azerbaijan, and the AFFA Disciplinary Committee regularly monitors matches to ensure adherence to fair play standards and league regulations. Financial penalties for accumulated bookings are a standard procedure within the league's disciplinary framework to maintain on-field conduct.
