Foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan hold phone talks

Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Uzbek Foreign Minister announced the discussion via his official account on the X social network.

Minister Saidov stated that the two sides reviewed the current state and future development prospects of the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. The ministers also exchanged views on the schedule of upcoming events to be held at various levels.

"Special attention was paid to further deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade, economy, investment, transport and logistics, energy, and other directions. During the telephone conversation, other issues of mutual interest on the bilateral and multilateral agenda were also discussed," the minister added.

Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan maintain strong diplomatic ties rooted in shared cultural, historical, and linguistic heritage. In recent years, both nations have significantly intensified their cooperation, particularly within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, focusing on expanding economic corridors and increasing bilateral trade volumes.
