Fenerbahçe beat Çaykur Rizespor 3-0 in an away match in the Turkish league.
Goals continued in the second half
The visitors opened the scoring in the 12th minute. After a combination with Matteo Guendouzi, Marko Asensio struck after receiving a pass from Kerem Aktürkoğlu. The ball deflected off Mithat Pala and went into the net.
Kerem Aktürkoğlu had a chance to extend the lead in the 29th minute, but goalkeeper Fofana saved his shot. Fofana also stopped efforts from Kerem and Mason Greenwood in the second half, with Greenwood’s attempt coming in the 73rd minute. Ederson kept a clean sheet for the visitors, saving chances created by Olawoyin and Mithat Pala for the home side.
In the 83rd minute, Oğuz Aydın passed the ball to İrfan Can Kahveci after an error by the opposing defense. Kahveci made it 2-0 with a shot from outside the penalty area. In the 87th minute, Oğuz Aydın converted a pass from Romelu Lukaku to seal the 3-0 win.
Fenerbahçe therefore left with all three points.
