French President Emmanuel Macron held a telephone conversation with President Ilham Aliyev to discuss the current state of bilateral relations and regional security.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the details of the call were shared by President Ilham Aliyev on his official social media account. "Today I received a phone call from President Emmanuel Macron. During the phone conversation, we reviewed issues on the agenda of Azerbaijan-France bilateral relations and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest. We also discussed regional and global events," the head of state noted.
The conversation comes amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to secure a lasting peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia following the restoration of Azerbaijan's sovereignty over the Garabagh region. High-level dialogues between Baku and international partners remain a key component of the peace process and the broader normalization of ties in the South Caucasus.
