The notion that education in the Russian-language sector is superior to others is a myth, according to Azerbaijan's Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev.
As reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, the minister made these remarks while speaking at the IX ADA International Education Conference. Amrullayev emphasized that the state does not dictate to citizens which language or sector they should choose for their children's education.
"The idea that Russian-language education is inherently superior does not reflect reality; it is simply a myth," the minister stated, addressing common misconceptions regarding educational quality across different language sectors in Azerbaijan.
The ADA International Education Conference is a prominent annual platform in Azerbaijan that brings together policymakers, educators, and international experts to discuss reforms, challenges, and future strategies for the national education system. The event serves as a critical forum for aligning Azerbaijan's educational standards with global best practices and addressing public discourse on academic quality.
