An earthquake has been recorded in the Imishli district of Azerbaijan.

This information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Republican Seismic Survey Center under the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

According to the report, the seismic event registered a magnitude of 3.2, with an epicenter depth of 60 kilometers.

Azerbaijan is located in a seismically active zone, specifically within the Alpine-Himalayan belt, which frequently experiences varying degrees of seismic activity. The Republican Seismic Survey Center continuously monitors these geological movements across the country to ensure public safety and provide accurate data on tectonic shifts. While minor tremors are relatively common in the region, the center maintains a network of monitoring stations to track and analyze seismic data in real-time.
