Police officers from the Khatai District State Traffic Police Department have detained 44-year-old Mustafa Efendiyev for operating a Chevrolet vehicle without license plates, with unauthorized structural modifications, and with illegal window tinting. The incident occurred during routine preventive measures conducted by law enforcement in the capital.

This information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

During the inspection, authorities determined that Efendiyev did not possess a valid driver's license. Due to his suspicious behavior, officers mandated a medical examination, which confirmed that the driver was under the influence of narcotics at the time of the stop.

An administrative protocol was filed against the driver under the relevant articles of the Code of Administrative Offenses, and the case was referred to the appropriate court. By court decision, Efendiyev has been sentenced to 15 days of administrative detention.

In Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs frequently conducts such preventive operations to ensure road safety and enforce traffic regulations. Driving under the influence of narcotics is treated as a serious offense, often resulting in administrative arrest, fines, or the suspension of driving privileges, depending on the severity of the violation and the potential threat posed to public safety.
