The draw ceremony for the 2026/2027 season of the Azerbaijan Premier League is scheduled to take place today.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the event will commence at 15:00 local time. The ceremony will establish the official calendar for the upcoming championship, determining the sequence of matches for the participating clubs.
The league will feature 12 teams competing for the title: Araz-Nakhchivan, Imishli, Kapaz, Garabagh, Gabala, Neftchi, Sabah, Sumgait, Shamakhi, Shafa, Turan Tovuz, and Zira. The 2026/2027 season is set to officially kick off on August 14.
The Azerbaijan Premier League serves as the top tier of the country's football pyramid, organized by the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA). The competition is a significant event in the national sporting calendar, drawing considerable public interest and media coverage.
